Chinese clothing at the Paris Olympics

The 33rd Summer Olympic Games, commonly known as the 2024 Paris Olympics, concluded after 19 days on local time on August 11th. The Olympic economy has continued to heat up, presenting opportunities for Chinese textile enterprises.

The short-sleeved clothing worn by athletes is primarily made from moisture-wicking and quick-drying sports fabrics. These fabrics feature a looped structure on the skin-contact side, which increases the air layer between the garment and the athlete's skin. When we apply a drop of water to the fabric, it spreads instantly, reducing the water content by 0.3 grams in one hit.

The award-winning uniforms of the Chinese sports delegation have integrated elements such as dragon whiskers and scales. The sleeves feature embossed patterns, and the garments are crafted using techniques such as patchwork and embroidery. The fabrics used include recycled nylon and recycled polyester, among other eco-friendly materials. From raw materials to production, this process achieves more than 50% "carbon reduction". 

The type of fabric is produced by Warp Knitting Machine, which can create breathable, non-stretch fabrics with mesh patterns. Its tight structure ensures stability. It also allows for the production of patterns such as logos and letters. The design of finished T-shirts can be developed through software, thus saving production time and reducing waste.
